About Us

We are Kent’s biggest independent charity, and an award-winning charity – Kent Charity of the Year 2024, who are dedicated to providing support to people affected by dementia.

Who We Are

Since 1991, we have been empowering people in north and west Kent and Medway to live well with dementia. Through our Dementia Support, Dementia Care and Dementia Wellbeing services, we aim to help people affected by dementia to manage their symptoms, stay engaged with family, friends and the wider community and take back control of their lives.

Measuring our impact

Every year, we conduct an extensive evaluation to measure our impact and see whether the services we deliver are meeting people’s needs. Our latest survey found that:

  • 74% of people say they feel less lonely since accessing our services.

  • 94% feel we provide the information they need, up from 81% in 2023.

  • 99% of people feel listened to by our team.

Our plans for the future

Looking ahead, our new strategy launched in 2024 sets out our goals for 2030: to be an award-winning, well-known and sustainability charity for people living with dementia and their carers.

We aim to deliver even more impact by focusing on four key areas:

Creating more awareness of the work we do to support people with dementia, and the impact we have.

Ensuring everyone in Kent and Medway can access the resources they need to live well with dementia.

Striving to achieve our ambition that the people using our services and our team reflect the diversity of Kent and Medway.

Championing the rights of people with dementia and their carers, and calling out injustice.
